Three Men Arrested at Bodden Town Beach for Possession of Ganja and Having a Machete
On Wednesday, 26 February, police and Public Lands Inspectorate carried out a joint operation at Coe Wood Beach, Bodden Town.
On arrival at the beach carpark, officers observed men near a vehicle, and on approaching them, could smell the strong scent of ganja coming from the area.
Officers searched the men and found ganja on the person of one man. Another portion of ganja was found near the men. As a result, two men, a 26-year-old and a 21-year-old, both residing in Bodden Town, were arrested on Suspicion of Possession of Ganja.
Officers then observed a machete inside the vehicle. A third man, a 31-year-old of George Town, and owner of the vehicle, was subsequently arrested for Possession of a Restricted Weapon.
All three men were transported to the Detention Centre.
