Tortuga International Holdings Ltd, a leading Caribbean confectionary company known throughout the region and internationally for its rum and spirit-based cakes in partnership with local distributor, Tortuga Rum Company proudly announces the launch of a new special edition Cayman Rum Cake to honour the Tortuga brand’s foundation in the Cayman Islands. The Tortuga brand of rum cake was founded in the Cayman Islands nearly 40 years ago and has since then expanded its range to a wide variety of premium spirit-based cakes, sold throughout the Caribbean and North America. The new Cayman Rum Cake celebrates the rich history of the iconic Tortuga brand and the beauty of the Cayman Islands, as depicted on the package through the work of talented Caymanian artists.

Tortuga Rum Company, a well-established distributor partner for the brand, has worked closely with Tortuga International Holdings to make this special edition rum cake available in it’s 19 stores across the Grand Cayman, including at duty free stores, the airport and the cruise-ship terminal. Mr Simmonds highlighted that the support of the local Cayman community has been integral to the success of Tortuga, particularly during the pandemic, and the company looks forward to their continued support and pride in this new edition as it hits the shelves just in time for the Easter Holiday travel season.
