Tourism: Major Pillar of the Local Economy

The two main industrial drivers of the Cayman Economy are Banking / Financial Services and Tourism. They may also be considered as the pillars of our financial well-being as they provide support for the economic engine that feeds our existence.

As we launch our 5 - Day per week newspaper, Caymanian Times will highlight one of these two industrial giants, Tourism.

Keeping Tourism in the forefront highlights its importance and provides the opportunity for readers to comment, review and suggest improvements that will benefit all residents of this island paradise.

“It has always been my dream to publish regular Tourism related segments in our newspaper,” says Ralph Lewis, Owner. “On a weekly basis, we will highlight the many Tourist Attractions and will also expound on the financial importance of this viable industry.

There are lots of information that we wish to share to educate and empower our readers. Knowledge is power and as a media source, we will do our part to disseminate important information.”
