On Friday, 7 February, just before 11:20PM, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of a motor vehicle collision, involving two (2) vehicles, along South Side West Road in Cayman Brac.
It appeared that both vehicles were traveling in the opposite direction on South Side West Road, when one of the vehicles swerved into the lane of the other causing a head on collision. Two people complained of injuries as a result of the collision. One person was transported to the hospital and treated for what appears to be minor injuries. Another person travel by private means to the hospital and was also treated for what appears to be minor injuries.
The driver of the offending vehicle was warned for intended prosecution on suspicion of careless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol.
The matter is currently being investigated by Cayman Brac Police Station.
