UCCI President and CEO resigns

The University College of the Cayman Islands’ Board Chairman, Gilbert McLean, issued a press release today advising that the university’s President and CEO, Dr Stacy McAfee, had resigned and would be leaving the post as of 31 December, 2021.

The short release stated that in 2018, following a process of selection by the former Board of Governors, Dr McAfee was employed for a fixed-term of three years.

Dr McAfee had decided and given notice that she would no longer continue as President and CEO of the UCCI and had indicated that she would be relocating to the US with her family.

In accordance with the provisions of the Public Authorities Act, the position of President and CEO of the University College of the Cayman Islands will be advertised. The position will be advertised both locally and overseas. An Interim President and CEO will be appointed to serve until such time as a new President and CEO is appointed.

The Board thanked Dr McAfee for her service to the University College of the Cayman Islands and wished her success in all her future endeavours.
