Update: Motorbike Rider Dies after Collision on Watercourse Road

Police have identofied the man who passed away in the vehicle collision that occurred on Sunday 4 August to be, 57-Year-Old Virgil Bush of West Bay.

The RCIPS offers its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who was in the area on the day of the incident and may have seen what took place to come forward and speak to the police.

Just after 6pm on Sunday, 4 August, police and other emergency services were dispatched to a report of a motor vehicle collision in West Bay involving a dirt bike.

The rider lost control of the dirt bike when traveling northeast on Watercourse Road in the vicinity of Ruby Lane. He fell into the opposite lane and was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

The rider was responsive at the scene, and was transported to the hospital for treatment. Just before 2AM this morning, 5 August, he succumbed to his injuries.
