40 New Omicron Cases & 71 New COVID 19 cases reported on Christmas Eve

Chief Medical Officer (Interim) Dr. Autilia Newton reported 71 new cases of COVID-19, 11 in travellers and 60 from the community on Friday, 24 December. Public Health reported 459 PCR tests were conducted on the previous day.

Man Arrested on Suspicion of Presenting False Travel Document

On Tuesday, 21 December, Customs and Border Control Officers at Owen Roberts International Airport alerted Royal Cayman Islands Police Service officers to a man travelling from Cuba, who had been refused entry after supplying a suspected false travel certificate.
