THE CAYMAN ISLANDS GOVERNMENT HAS ISSUED A HURRICANE WARNING FOR GRAND CAYMAN AND A TROPICAL STORM WATCH FOR CAYMAN BRAC AND
LITTLE CAYMAN.
Tropical Storm Ian is about to undergo explosive intensification into a major hurricane in the western Caribbean Sea
Grand Cayman remains under a Hurricane Warning, while Cayman Brac and Little Cayman remain under a Tropical Storm Watch. With Tropical Storm Ian closer to Grand Cayman, tropical storm conditions are forecasted throughout Sunday night into Monday.
As of 4AM, Hurricane Ian was located at 18.2N and 82.0W of about 85 miles SW of Grand Cayman with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph
The National Emergency Operations Centre reminds Grand Cayman residents to remain vigilant and stay indoors with Hurricane Ian expected to pass at 75 miles southwest of Grand Cayman today.
