The Water Authority continues to make repairs to its water distribution network following last week’s (28 January) earthquake.
Following several months of concern because of a substantial obstruction at the end of Mary Mollie Hydes Road in West Bay, just where it merges with Town Hall Road, The West Bay Concerned Citizens group is glad to see that the obstructions have been finally removed.
Just after 6PM on Friday police in Little Cayman were informed of a sinkhole that formed in the roadway along Guy Banks Road. The sinkhole will interrupt the regular flow of traffic and the area has been marked to inform road users of its location.
The National Roads Authority is currently working with the Royal Cayman Police Service and the various utility providers to assess and remediate damages caused by the earthquake on Tuesday, January 28.
The Water Authority-Cayman will be open for regular business hours today (Wednesday 29 January) starting at 8:30 a.m.
