Honourable André Ebanks was yesterday (Tuesday, 6 May 2025) sworn-in as the Premier of the Cayman Islands during a ceremony held at the House of Parliament in George Town, Grand Cayman.
In her statement to Parliament this week, Governor Jane Owen congratulated the voting public for their high turn out to the 30th April general election and also gave praise to those who ran the election so well.
Hon. André Ebanks has been officially sworn in as Premier and Hon. Gary Rutty as Deputy Premier, during a formal swearing-in ceremony at the House of Parliament — marking the official start of the new government following the general elections.
