Just before 8:00AM on Tuesday, 20 August, police received a report that a vessel with four persons on board had been travelling from Tampa, Florida, to Grand Cayman when their family members on island lost contact with them. Shortly after 8:45PM on Sunday night, 18 August, officers responded to a report of an altercation at a business towards the east end of North Sound Road. A security guard had come upon four young males who were using a pool facility that was not open to the public at that time.

Shortly before 10:00PM on Sunday 11 August, a report was received of a boating incident in the North Sound, off Prospect. It was reported that two vessels collided, causing one of the vessels to capsize. All three occupants of the capsized boat were uninjured and were able to return to shore.
