Chamber President Omari Corbin and Chief Executive Officer Wil Pineau will represent the Cayman Islands at the 14th World Chambers Congress in Melbourne, Australia, from 2–4 September 2025. The high-level global event is the world’s largest gathering of Chambers of Commerce, bringing together more than 1,200 business leaders from over 100 countries.
Organised by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and its World Chambers Federation, the biennial Congress serves as the only international forum where Chamber professionals and business stakeholders come together to share strategies, explore innovation, and forge global partnerships.
“This Congress is more than a networking event — it’s a platform to showcase what the Cayman Islands can offer, and to bring home new ideas that will help our business community thrive,” said Wil Pineau, CEO of the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce. “We may be small, but we have a bold, resilient business environment worth sharing with the world.”
Themed “Business, Chambers, Government: Partners for Prosperity,” this year’s program will address vital global issues, including digital transformation, climate resilience, workforce development, and international trade. Delegates will participate in keynote sessions, panels, workshops, and the prestigious World Chambers Competition, which highlights innovative initiatives by Chambers worldwide.
Omari Corbin, attending his first World Chambers Congress as Chamber President, views the trip as an opportunity to learn from global peers and advocate for Cayman’s continued growth.
“I’m especially looking forward to learning how Chambers in different regions are adapting to challenges like inclusion, sustainability, and rapid economic shifts,” Corbin said. “It’s also a valuable moment to build international connections that could benefit Cayman’s business community in the long term.”
The event will also feature social and networking activities, including a Welcome Reception at SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium and a Gala Dinner at Crown Palladium, providing attendees with opportunities to deepen relationships in a relaxed and informal setting.
Looking ahead, the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce will play a supporting role when the Congress returns to the Americas in 2027, co-organised by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce. This reflects a growing recognition of the region’s leadership in driving economic innovation and resilience.
Corbin and Pineau will share key insights and takeaways from the Congress upon their return.
