CMEA ANNOUNCES CANCELLATION OF BENEFIT CONCERT

CMEA ANNOUNCES CANCELLATION OF THIRD ANNUAL THANKSGIVING BENEFIT CONCERT PLANNED FOR SATURDAY, 30TH NOVEMBER

The Cayman Music & Entertainment Association (CMEA) regrets to announce the cancellation of “The Sounds of Love”, the Third Annual Thanksgiving Benefit Concert that was scheduled for this Saturday, 30th November, at the East End Heritage Field at 6:00pm.

We appreciate the cooperation given to us by the many CMEA musicians and Djs who agreed to donate their time to perform and the anticipated performances by various local bands, as well as to the planned contributions from Mr. James “Jamo” Myles and the Youth Culinary Association who had agreed to stage the Home Gas Cayman Thanksgiving High School Cook-off at our event; as well as Mr. Graham Rankin who wholeheartedly donated fireworks and agreed to organize a traditional East End bonfire with last but not least the greater East End community who were willing to support a native son of their local district. To all of the amazing cooks who would have prepared traditional Caymanian dishes, we say a sincere and heartfelt thank you and we will call upon all of you in the very near future for our next Fundraising Concert. We also wish to express our gratitude to Radio Cayman and Breeze FM for your support and willingness to promote this event and countless other CMEA Events in the past and future.

To the Members and Friends of the CMEA, we thank you all for your ongoing support and look forward to seeing you all again at our next Benefit Concert, to be announced in the not too distant future. Finally to Mr. Kendal Connor, Ms. Delmira Bodden and Mr. Edney Mclean we thank you and the East End Pirates Week Committee for meeting with us and taking the time out to assist with the organizing of this event.

Happy Cayman Thanksgiving to the Cayman Community! The Sounds of Love was created in the spirit of giving and we encourage you all to do just that. We hope you will spend this weekend sharing fellowship and reflecting on how blessed we have been this Hurricane Season!
