Former RCIPS Auxiliary Constable Formally Charged with Perverting the Course of Justice
On Friday, 14 October, a man age 45 of George Town was formally charged with one count of Doing an Act to Obstruct, Prevent, Pervert, or Defeat Justice, and one count of Breach of Trust by a Public Officer, in relation to an incident on 17 November, 2019, at the Cayman Islands Police Detention Centre.
The man, a former Auxiliary Constable with the RCIPS, who had been suspended from duty upon his arrest on 4 September, 2021, has been discharged from the RCIPS effective 14 October.
He is expected to appear in court tomorrow, 18 October.
