As part of its milestone 60th anniversary year, the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce hosted a festive holiday edition of its popular Business After Hours networking series on Thursday evening at Rocky’s Diamond Gallery. The event transformed the Waterfront Centre into a lively space for connection, celebration, and showcasing local business success.

Members and guests mingled among Rocky’s stunning jewellery collections while enjoying hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and holiday cheer, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a lively office Christmas party. The evening also featured raffle prizes presented by Rocky’s founder, Rakesh “Rocky” Baxani, alongside Chamber President Omari Corbin, adding an extra layer of excitement to the celebration.

In his remarks, Corbin described Rocky’s Diamond Gallery as “a true Cayman success story.” Founded by Baxani, the family-owned business has built a strong reputation for integrity, creativity, and exceptional customer service. From GIA-certified diamonds to rare gemstones such as emeralds, rubies, and tanzanite, Rocky’s is known for its craftsmanship and attention to detail.

“As we celebrate 60 years of representing and supporting the business community, events like Business After Hours remind us why the Chamber exists,” Corbin said. “They create real opportunities for businesses to connect, collaborate, and grow. For small and medium-sized enterprises in particular, these events are a powerful way to build visibility and relationships that can lead to long-term success.”

Business After Hours has become one of the Chamber’s most effective platforms for members to promote their products and services in a relaxed, social setting. By hosting an event, businesses can welcome fellow members into their space, share their story, and build meaningful connections beyond traditional marketing.

Chamber Events and Training Coordinator Emily Sintorn echoed that message. “Business After Hours is more than just networking,” she said. “It’s an opportunity for our members to put their brand front and centre and engage directly with the business community. We encourage members interested in hosting an event in 2026 to contact me and take advantage of this unique platform.”

The evening featured several sought-after raffle prizes, including a stunning necklace, continuing a cherished holiday tradition. Baxani’s warm and welcoming spirit was on full display, reflecting his long-held wish to “bring some love at Christmas-time.” Guests of all ages enjoyed the festive atmosphere and left with both new connections and holiday cheer.

While Rocky’s Diamond Gallery has earned international recognition, including top TripAdvisor rankings and LUX Global Excellence Awards, it is the business’s personal touch and commitment to memorable experiences that continue to resonate with customers and the Chamber community alike.

As the event concluded, members departed with fresh connections, a renewed sense of community, and perhaps a few sparkling gift ideas for the season.
