Just after 5AM on Thursday, 17 June, police carried out a search at a residence in the West Bay District. During the search officers found a quantity of ganja and ganja plants. No arrests were made in relation to the drugs, however inquiries are ongoing.
A 46-year-old-man of West Bay was however re-arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody where he is being held.
The arrest was made in relation to an incident where the then 24-year-old Shaquille Bush was fatally shot near his home in West Bay on 12 November, 2019. At the time, the man was arrested and released shortly after the shooting, pending further investigation. He has now been charged with Murder and Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm.
He was expected to appear in court Friday, 18 June.
