On Thursday afternoon, 30 March, officers responded to a call for service on Eastern Avenue near Godfrey Nixon Way. Upon the officers' arrival, they saw and spoke with a woman who appeared to be in distress.

One occupant of the vehicle was recovered by officers from the Cayman Islands Fire Service and was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead by the attending doctor.
