A Trophy Steeped in History

The Alexandra Horner Memorial Trophy has been contested between Cayman and Jamaica for over 15 years, honouring the legacy of Alexandra Horner, a gifted hockey player whose life was tragically cut short. The annual event, which has become a highlight in the bilateral field hockey calendar, features mixed field hockey teams with veterans and youngsters battling out for trophy. The trophy symbolizes not just sporting excellence but also the enduring camaraderie between the two nations’ hockey communities, showcasing not just rivalry, but mutual respect and shared love for the sport.
