On Saturday evening the girls played a fun game against the coaches and parents to wind up the season, and it fittingly ended in a 16-16 tie! After the game the Scotiabank girls received their first place trophies and individual awards were presented. Best sportsmanship awards went to Aleigha General (Scotiabank), Kris Maxine Aleria (Kirk Freeport) and Martina Watler (Coldwell Banker). Most improved players were Denae Alexander (Scotiabank), Juliana Bodden (Kirk Freeport) and Renell Parchment (Coldwell Banker).
Division Coordinator Jeremy Rice thanked all of the sponsors, umpires, coaches, field staff, players and parents for overcoming many obstacles to ensure that this season was finally completed after beginning in February! The girls will now take a break due to field renovations and will hopefully be able to resume training after Christmas in time for the Spring Season 2021! Any girls ages 11-17 interested in playing should e-mail cilla.girls.softball@gmail.com.
