As of the 10 a.m. advisory from the National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Eta had 40 mph maximum sustained winds — a bump up of 5 mph from the 7 a.m. advisory when it was a depression — and Eta was headed northeast a bit faster at 17 mph. Eta was about 45 miles west northwest of Grand Cayman.

Eta is expected to continue to move northeast and strengthen to a possible Tropical Storm and track about 60 miles to the NW of Grand Cayman early this evening, 99 miles NW of Cayman Brac by late Saturday night and over central Cuba by Sunday morning.
The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that 261 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported on Thursday, 5 November 2020. Five were positive.

Today, we can expect cloudy to overcast skies with an 80% chance of showers and possible thunder. Seas will be rough with wave heights of 5 to 7 feet with higher swells especially along the east and south coasts.
