This past weekend, officers received several reports of a group of between two and ten juvenile males, believed to be between 12 and 15 years old, approaching members of the public and firing shots at them with what appears to be a pellet gun or gel blaster.
RCIPS has received reports that local banking customers have received calls from overseas numbers from individuals claiming to be from their banks ’Fraud Unit’.
On Monday, 5 August, officers on patrol along Marie Mollie Hydes Road in West Bay observed a vehicle partially blocking the roadway and the occupants of the vehicle behaving suspiciously.

Three men, Dave Obaseki, Michael Capers, & Sean Luke, all American nationals, recently pleaded guilty to several counts of Obtaining Property by Deception in relation to several fraudulent purchases made in Grand Cayman using stolen credit card details.
RCIPS and CBC are seeking information regarding the whereabouts of two men; Vitor Domingo Valentini Dos Reis (who also goes by the name Marcio Vicente Rod Novaes), 33 years old, and Brenno Neves Florencio, 25 years old, both Brazilian nationals, who are visitors in Grand Cayman.
